I created Parli Public Relations as the Government of Canada’s own private public relations agency responsible for promoting it’s political parties and members, and using their likenesses to sell certain products. Parli is responsible for the product creation, branding and promotion, so their logo is proudly displayed on each product they create, which strongly unifies all of my thesis work.
At first, I chose red as the main colour it is a colour that is used within the Government of Canada. Further iterations caused some concern that the red linked the agency primarily to the Liberal Party. This was not my intention as Parli PR is supposed to be open to all parties. To solve this issue, I chose to use a colour that was not in use by any popular political parties, which was purple. In terms of party association, when Parli is advertising a certain party, they will change the logo colour to correspond with the party colour. Example, red logo for Liberal and blue logo for Conservative.
